Great meeting of the Chickasaw Community Council of Central Texas (CCCCT) in Austin yesterday. If you're a Chickasaw tribal member and qualify for PPP (their version of SNAP), here's how to apply. The links aren't live in this image, but you can type them in manually to access their site. Chokma!

A friend recently reached out to catch up. It's been a while, and apparently she's written a book in the interim. Gotta love this title: Mom Loves The Dogs More 😆 www.cindyowrites.com/book

Great time visiting Portland last week. Our hotel (the Moxy) hosted a pop-up craft fair one evening. Had to have this tee bc Halloween, natch. And the cards I bought are so cool, I will probably never send them and just keep them for myself. Art by @dancingheron.bsky.social

Finally made it over to Laguna Gloria. Beautiful day for it. A couple of my favorites. I only had one and a half that I didn’t care for.

I have been on the hunt for one of these for years. Finally scored one thrifting at Goodwill while visiting my mom in Dallas this week. #thrifting #diadelosmuertos

Even though it will still be in the 90s here in Central Texas today, thank you Mother Nature for ushering in fall with a little morning fog.

I finally made it over to the fabulous Edward Gorey exhibit at the Texas A&M campus today. Marvelous! They’ve extended it through Sept 29. Thx @austinkleon.bsky.social for the heads-up in your newsletter.

My next hobby starting immediately: stargazing. I've been meaning to do it for years. My aging body clock (early riser ) + low light pollution out here in the sticks = perfect timing. This morning's sky included Orion, Jupiter, Venus, and a glorious, silvery moon.

If you’re in Central Texas, consider a visit to the Texas Quilt Museum in La Grange. The current exhibits will blow your mind. They’re not just quilts. They’re works of art.

We had a great time in Pittsburgh this week. Many thanks to the perfect stranger we sat next to at the Pirates game Tuesday night who recommended we ride the incline. Looking forward to a return trip!
