The Michigan Public Service Commission recently approved terms of service between Consumers Energy and very large customers (data centers), to protect citizens from subsidizing data centers. Thanks to the advocacy groups that made sure some protections were created. www.michigan.gov/mpsc/commiss...

Reading Bill McKibben's musings on the President's signature legislation, I was dismayed to learn that not only are credits for clean energy and jobs being removed... the bill includes new taxes on solar and wind, expected to cost households $110 more per year. Oh - it adds subsidies for coal, too.
