Drug testing of welfare recipients predictably leads to many more eligible people losing out than it catches drug users.

The city is justifying Prop F (drug testing those receiving cash benefits) as a means to reduce “drug tourism” - i.e. non-SF residents getting cash and buying drugs.

When you actually look at the numbers, the number of “drug tourists” last year: 17…SEVENTEEN.
