Blitherer. Overly fond of Yorkshire, tbh.
Netball? (Though I'm hoping for ice hockey)

I quite liked the whimsical phrasing of "sighting time". Like a meander down a country lane but it's one composed of old friends and interesting ideas.

Oh absolutely! Are you a company who needs to tell people to get orders in in time for the postal service to do it's thing? Email away! Ditto small businesses who need to spread the workload out.

Yep! I love Christmas but part of the joy is the anticipation and the delay! Did I like the subtle festive decor in the gin distillery today? Yes, because an orange slice garland is lovely and it went with the overall decor. Do I want to hear Come All Ye Faithful on the 15th of November? No!

I hope it brightens the evening!

This is my dearly missed horror of a cat, Floyd. He was named after Keith Floyd, the drunk TV chef, and he had the personality of a perpetually affronted Victorian gentleman. He was not *nice*, but he was a charming dapper man and his 19 years on earth were a gift.

I assume so!

Bordeaux is in a tropical disease area apparently, so you have to have been back in the UK and healthy for 28 days to be eligible to donate. I was one day out!!

Mug - the pattern on the mug is identical to the book cover, and think of another (fancier?) word for 'between'.
November 13, 2025 at 3:37 PM
I veer between none and three. None for most people, three for close friends and family. And then the wildcard of "how many the person who texted me used because I don't want to offend/come across as too eager".

(all typos in that are the result of trying to edit text on my phone!)

Ah yes, this is me. I have 3 degrees in English Litand my grammatical knowledge of English is basically"it sounds right" & any other grammar knowledge I have comes from learning other languages and only applies to *that* language. Our Yr9 French teacher had to do a Grammar Basics lesson for us all.

It felt like I was in some sort of farce and they are very lucky that I found it darkly funny. They'd had the death certificate! Twice! I'd done everything they asked! And in the absence of a ghostly intervention, time for light fraud it was.

This sucks, I'm sorry. I'm also having flashbacks to basically having to commit fraud to cancel one of my mothers credit cards. A ~highlight~ of the experience was someone on her bank's Death Team asking if she could come to the phone. I mean ... no? But also she did because I pretended to be her.

I will say that it is taking some getting used to these being solely reading glasses. Book? Clear as glass. Slightly above book? Woah why is it blurry.
