Another background study from Arcane, this time the gardens from s2e01 🌿

A bit tough to paint this on a A5 sketchbook but I adore aquatic plants so it was a fun one! #gouache #arcane

I wanted to try the limited 'Zorn palette' so went with a study from Arcane's sharpshooting competition! It was a fun one 🍂

(this uses only 3 colors but I still drowned my ceramic plate how do you guys manage complex ones??)

Congrats on 10K Andrea! Such a good piece too these deep blues on the edges of the high values look amazing and make the whole thing so vibrant!

My favorite subjects to paint are calmer fantasy story-infused scenes and characters, and my main braincell has a hard to shake off yellow-green lens 🌿✨

Photoshop users: Ctrl+Maj+Y when the color selector window is open will grey out the non-printable colors, so even working in RGB you can avoid colors outside the printable range at a glance.

Screenshot of the Color Selector window in Photoshop. It's opened on a coral orange hue and some parts are greyed-out on the top right of the range, towards the brightest most saturated oranges. This masks to the user the colors that won't be printable. Same screenshot but this time the Color Selector window is opened on a purple-blue hue. We can assess the printable range of this hue is a lot less than its orange counterpart of the previous image: almost half the color range is greyed out, so you have to be more careful with those hues!
