I felt a little guilty even typing such big words as “non-oxidative phosphorylation” for fear it’d scare those folks off - but that’s when I remembered most of them don’t read anyway. #science #TCAcycleFTW

Huh, this pediatric oncologist & physician-scientist could’ve sworn that cancer cells use oxygen & ATP to grow. Even when there’s little oxygen, cancer cells will use non-oxidative phosphorylation to generate ATP since it’s so necessary for cell survival. But, enjoy your methemoglobinemia! 🤨
