Huge thanks to @susurrus editors CJ, Maddie, & Michelle for launching this poem into the world alongside such fine company. And check out that gorgeous cover!

What a delight to return to Kelly Hoffer’s debut “Undershore.” It’s unlike any collection I’ve read—a unique and creative elegy that hits hard. If you’re looking for your next Sealey Challenge read, reach out to Lightscatter Press and add this one to your stack.

Mother’s Day is a tough day for those of us who have/had complicated relationships with our mothers.
I’m grateful to the editors and readers over @raleighreview for putting this poem out into the world

Big Table Press put out a call to write about one day in your life. Their idea is, by year’s end, to gather a snapshot of how people spend their time. Link below to see how I spent my time with St. Vincent and on the AT. Thank you, Mo & Big Table!

My favorite novel of the year so far—sweeping in scope, charming, funny, and heartbreaking. A testament to what the novel can do. Well done, Daniel Mason.

In these strange days, spending time with 10,000 writers does a soul good. I brought some of their books back home to keep me company. Not pictured--Brian Teare’s “Poem Bitten by a Man” (too big for my suitcase). Thanks, LA! See you next year, Baltimore!
