Life has been bleak this year, but I saw the Aurora Borealis from my yard twice this week, had a fantastic afternoon with my book club ladies yesterday (A Gentleman in Moscow), and saw this spectacular bird today. We’re having takeout posole from Taco Santo and K made me a margarita. Not a bad week.

Life has been bleak this year, but I saw the Aurora Borealis from my yard twice this week, had a fantastic afternoon with my book club ladies yesterday (A Gentleman in Moscow), and saw this spectacular bird today. I’ve been watching this in real time this week and it’s so depressing. AI = Absence of Intelligence. Was accused by a random online person of being a Luddite, of professional malpractice for not seeing the importance of teaching my students AI “best practices”. The best practice is not to use it.
