Met with Stockport Signpost for Carers. We spoke about the support that's available for carers, including young carers, and how I could help them make sure all carers know about them.

Planted a remembrance cross for Hazel Grove at Westminster, ahead of the Remembrance commemorations across the constituency this weekend;

Went to get thoroughly grilled by students at Stockport Grammar School on topics like the situation in Palestine, electoral reform and voting systems; and what is happening with the green belt;

Welcomed the changes to the financial education 💳 in the national curriculum, but raised the need for the Government to provide schools with the support and tools to deliver it;

Attended drop-ins in Westminster to support Radiotherapy UK and mark Mitzvah Day, as well as a prayer breakfast at All Saints in Marple with representatives from local churches.

Wrote to the Secretary of State for Health and the Chancellor to ensure that the impact of the £3 billion of unfunded NHS costs are not taken out on Stockport NHS Foundation Trust’s budget. 🏥

Championed Stockport’s warm spaces plans for winter, ensuring libraries are there to support people in the winter months, and providing funding for charities wanting to do the same. edm.parliament.uk/early-day-...

Exposed the failings of the Government’s “golden hello” scheme for dentists, which identified no places in Stockport for new NHS dentists 🦷, and across Greater Manchester, only employed 2 dentists all year, despite targeting 10.
