My mom Yolande passed away on April 29. I miss her and hold her close always.

On a sunny day in February, my favourite place is toasty little microclimate around the sheep barn. At this point in the season, even a plain old bale of straw is enough of a novelty to keep the hens happy!

No better way to kick off a cold and crisp February morning.

Had such a nice time with mom this morning that we decided to stay downtown much longer than anticipated. This is the BEST part of retirement…the freedom (at least once in a while) to be a little spontaneous sometimes! Thanks mom and thanks to North Side for being so great!

The baby figs are doing with many now up-potted and waiting a week or two more before being re-homed.

Wren and Pooka graduated from obedience class today. We'll start intermediate next week and from there who knows? :)
