I am a wild swimmer, too! I live on the West Coast of British Columbia, Canada, on a small island, and we have a number of swimming lakes, and also a small ocean beach where I spend almost every evening throughout the summer months. Wild. Swimming. Is. The. Best! Especially the ocean. Where is this?

If you feel brave enough to share it, I’d love to hear what you’ve created. Congratulations for overcoming what can seem at first like insurmountable obstacles. Well done, you!

I am always looking for new ways to write the songs that are inside me. And to perform them. Perhaps virtually. Do you ever do that, perform in new ways, adapting to the massive loss losing our instrument can be?

A friend shared your story with me knowing it would resonate.
I too am a singer-songwriter, and I too lost my ability to play, a number of years ago now.
I have performed a couple of times using the virtual acoustic guitar on my iPad. And then the pandemic hit. I’m just starting to get back to it.

Yes. Again and again. 🥰

Thank you. And yes, my practice of writing daily was a saving grace on many of the hard days. And it continues to help with my ongoing recovery

Aww thank you. It is an awful thing to experience.

I was 4 ½ years ago now… but I only got back into my home just over a year ago. And I’m still recovering.

I have a LOT of poetry - wrote a (lengthy) poem a day for the first year+
Hoping to create a book for house fire survivors.
Loss By Fire 🙏🏽
