For four years now, legislators have passed vague laws and left them up to the FLDOE to define with no oversight.

How have they done?
-HB 1467 expanding to classroom libraries
-HB 7 impact on AA History
-HB 1069 language used to ignore Miller-for-minors constitutional standard

Not a surprise.
On the November FLBOE agenda:“Lawmakers promoting the bill said they did not intend to use the standards to indoctrinate children or spread fear, leaving the details to the Department of Education.”
