I'm part of a monthly postcard club. This month's these was New Life or a reproduction of a favorite artist's work. I know this is one of the most overused artworks but I love it and it's very fun to reproduce. The Starry Night by Van Gogh.

I painted this from a photo I took of breakfast with a friend. I sent it as a birthday card to my MIL. I thought I would be sad to give away a painting that I spent a lot of time on and liked, but it actually felt really good to send it out into the world.
