We found that long-term consumption of a ketogenic diet boosted learning and memory 🧠💪; these symptom improvements were accompanied by a reduction in amyloid and increased neurogenesis (new neuron creation). (3/4)

CAA can lead to cognitive impairment and dementia, and increases the risk of stroke, due to an accumulation of amyloid proteins in the brain's blood vessels. CAA is commonly seen in people with Alzheimer's, exacerbating symptoms and complicating treatment with the newest meds. (2/4)
