Whatever our differences, they must be resolved through the peaceful exchange of ideas, the ballot box, and the institutions that safeguard our freedoms, not through threats, intimidation, or bloodshed.

In every instance it corrodes the public trust, diminishes our shared institutions, and replaces reasoned discourse with fear and coercion.

Seems to be up again, but it’s scary watching our core infrastructure get wobbly.

3) Work from the facts not the story - there's a temptation in frentic news cycles in the Trump era to see every event through its narrative lens and to fit it into some story that's developing. But it's really important to actually have a handle on the precise and sometimes complicated details.
