Briiliant win for #Everton. One our best performances of 2024/25 deserved more than a draw.

Our work with the Westlands housing estate has been shortlisted for the LGC Public Health Award.

We devolved resources down to a committee of residents and local agencies.

We've seen inspiring stories about how lives have changed for the better.

Life. It's all ups and downs innit?

20th Jan - in hospital Majors Unit on a drip and oxygen.

On the mend now and on the up!

Me and my mate Abi did the Goggins Challenge this weekend. That's running 4 miles, every 4 hrs, over 48 hrs (48 miles in total).

The distance wasn't too bad. But running in the middle of the night, on no sleep, in -5° C temp wasn't so nice.

Why? I have no rational explanation, sorry.

If you were looking for Christmas gift for a town or city, what would it be?

How about something that reduced social isolation, improved health, made good use of green spaces, was great for people of all ages and boosted the locally economy?

New research shows that the mental health benefits of physical activity are greatest when it includes:

- social interaction
- a supportive group
- a sense of belonging

A bit like parkrun does really!

Just been looking at #parkrun participant numbers over the last 20 years.

Unless I'm mistaken, 2024 is shaping up to smash the all-time record for both runner and volunteer numbers.

Despite Storm Bert's best efforts!
