Plastic is really unstable at high temperatures. It should never go in a dishwasher. Buy a Pyrex glass one, problem solved.

Like the US we have a BS history that conservatives love and an honest history that most don't know. Reading the diaries of the colonial governors is generally honest history as they were unashamed of their terrible deeds and prejudices and wrote about them in detail.

Sounds right. Just before I left new manager tried to get me to hand over project docs to EY (were working with completely different modelling assumptions). I just said it wasn't going to be useful. I know they would have cut & pasted my work if I had handed it over.

The upshot: I am a biographer of both Donald Trump and Elon Musk, and I cannot assure anyone reading this that either man is loyal to the United States.

The evidence suggests, rather, that they are loyal only to their own ambitions—and will betray America whenever it suits those ambitions to do so.

Here at home so many on the hard left believe everyone thinks just like them, not withstanding that the centre left Labor party only just scraped in. The argument we just need to swing harder to the left makes no sense. We need to find the policies that appeal across the spectrum and push for those.

It wasn't having suburbs of social housing that was the problem. It was narrowing the eligibility criteria until only those with extreme disadvantage were accepted, leading to housing estates where almost everyone had mental health and/or addiction problems.

As a social worker in the 1980s I used to be able to ring up the Housing Dept to tell them a DV client was on their way to the office and they and their kids were housed the same day.

That comment is up there with "I did not have sex with that woman" and "we didn't lose the election, we just didn't win".

A bit like the big expose of Cbus and delays in paying out death/disability payments and then we discovered almost all super funds used the same external provider, and all of them take too long to process payments.
