It might well be. But why America is where it is and how that affects the rest of the world is the question. I can not influence what happens in America as someone from outside the country. Americans must take responsibility for unleashing your monstrous administration on the rest of the world.

I watched some of it. Enough to know that everyone is scratching their heads about what to do to fix the situation.

I would assume everyone who didn’t vote for Kamala. Or didn’t vote at all. We have mandatory voting here. It helps.

That bit is a worry. I think when you think of the hard won freedoms for DEI especially and how that has been one of his first targets you got to wonder how much more he will try and erode. I hope you can circumvent things from getting worse,

Thanks. Don’t know I have much faith in middle class bogans to get it right here but we don’t really have the same cultish or slavish devotion to politicians. But Trump isn’t one of those. And he is certainly no diplomat. The scary part is people don’t know how he affects everyone across the globe.

Yeah. Well I guess you can’t take dumb out of the electorate… we are facing similar issues here but hopefully we might have learnt from the American predicament.

As much as I am sympathetic to Americans should protest not have happened BEFORE the election? Americans knew what he was like why didn’t more vote for Kamala?

Yes they are part of the Commonwealth and as such were invited and were present at the meeting of European heads in Sunday. I think given push to shove Australia will also follow the UK where our ties are deep. However we have also tried to foster America allyship because we are in the Pacific.

Yes. That is 100% right. A film director I know of called the fight they had as the “stranger in the room” technique and JD Vance was his perfect stooge. Trump was never going to agree to a deal with Zelenssky
