It was too good to be true. In the space of 10 minutes they took our snow forecast and turned it into rain.

Greg Davies is ridiculously tall, isn’t he.

They still want me. Either that or they’re getting desperate.

I’m now throwing myself into weaving

Oh the cardigan is finished btw! #crochet

And of course, a further few seconds along…

I’m watching ‘How Are You? It’s Alan (Partridge)’, and was thinking, “why is he dressed exactly like Rupert Bear?” - then someone calls out, “All right, Rupert?” and of course, it purely for this joke.

WHAT.

I’m making my hub a “basket weave” cardigan, and it’s been such a delight to do! Currently working on the sleeves. No pattern, just vibes and multiples of six (stitches, rows, and blocks).

I only ever had one interaction with Manchán Magan. I watched ‘Éirí Amach Amú’ a couple of months ago and spotted Manchán in a cameo towards the end - I commented about it on one of his tiktoks. See attached screenshot.

Goodbye September and Hello October! #SpeirGorm

Post you from a different era.

This is me at my 21st birthday party. The original photo has my parents and brother in it, but I’ve cropped out their faces for their privacy.

The rest of the grapes are ripe!

Okay! I suspect this may well be my last snail hat (I think I’ve got it out of my system) so I’m keeping it for myself! #crochet
September 25, 2025 at 12:58 PM
Finished! There may have been some “yarn chicken” involved at the end. #crochet
September 23, 2025 at 12:34 PM
I think I’m addicted to making these. They’re also a quick way to use up my yarn ball scraps. #crochet

Ask and you shall receive!

Okay this could probably have done with one or two fewer segments, but it still looks cool, I think! #crochet

It’s meant to sort of look like a wizardy kind of hat, but I’ve altered it so it’s more like a beanie. The pattern designer stiffens the shell part but I’ve amended the pattern a little so I don’t have to do that, and I make the brim a bit narrower. I think I also have more segments in my shell.

New snail shell (or rather, a Nautilus) hat on the hook! This one is for Middle Son. It’s coming along a lot faster than the first one because I know what to do #Crochet
September 21, 2025 at 1:51 PM
It is finished! Modelled by my husband, who remains anonymous on social media. #crochet If you’re interested in the pattern, there’s a tutorial on YT by the creator (but also buy her pattern, it’s quite cheap). You’ll be able to tell where I changed the pattern! youtu.be/epO5fDBPDv0

So this is meant to be a snail shell hat, but as I’m making it for my hub and his Big Irish Head™️, I’ve altered the pattern and now we’ve decided it’s going to be a conch shell hat. Anyway I’ve nearly finished! Yay! #crochet
