Really engaging day yesterday at prm.ox.ac.uk talking with a delegation of Naga people about returns of ancestors and belongings. Quick look at the excellent Hawai'i display there too. Interconnected threads of humans, environment and culture ❤️

Small but perfectly formed display at the british museum. I've never looked so long at an ancient sculpture when the simplest of questions are asked.

Just visited the opening @rainmakergallery.bsky.social of Maori artist Te Rangitu Netana's first UK exhibition www.rainmakerart.co.uk/exhibitions/. Ta moko, traditonal tattooing, demonstration will take place there on March 21st.

Same, in the late 1980s this was my GCSE text book. Not sure of its quality but I certainly remember learning about a place that took me out of my narrow understanding of European history.
