I've heard, though, that Venezuelan crude is very had to get out of the ground and is especially "dirty" once it is out, requiring a lot of extra processing to be usable. That might be one reason why the oil fields there are so full!

My brother hadn't seen a dentist for about ten years. A few months before he got married, my mom suggested he get a checkup "just to get that out of the way" (thoroughly expecting he'd have cavities). He came home with his usual s**t-eating grin and a "perfect" checkup!

Use pretzel sticks or rods to do that. Chocolate covered pretzels, right, and maybe a step up from using your finger or a spoon!

Same when sitting in the exam room at a doctor's office and the first question is "how are you?" Well, um, I'm HERE, so ... (unless it's just a routine checkup - luckily, that's what most of my appointments are. I love the "keep doing what you're doing, and see you next year" conclusions!)

Even if he's not listed as actually abusing any of the young girls (the way his bff Epstein did), he's probably trying to protect all the rich and influential men who DID let Jeffie "introduce" them to some girls!!! djt is an insecure sycophant who wants to be friends with rich people!

Kidney transplant recipient here. All of a sudden I need "pre-authorization" for the two anti-rejection meds I've been on for about 24 YEARS! Insurance hasn't changed, so I'm not sure where this change originated.

As far as I know, blind baking can only be done for pies with a single (bottom) crust and a filling that's ready to eat. Putting it in a pie shell just makes it "prettier". Here where I live in central PA, the filling of such a crust would usually be some sort of pudding, often with a cream top.

It's been a while, but I have a recipe for an "oil crust" that doesn't involve ice water and a rolling pin that people always raved about. Once the dough is created, you sort of push it into the pie pan before adding the filling and baking. I never tried that recipe for a "blind baked" crust.

The pie might be homemade, but even Ina Garten says that a good "store-bought" pie crust might actually be better in some situations than home-made.

Heard today that it's best to have seen the first movie, as well as the Judy Garland version. How about a "passing knowledge" of most of the Frank L. Baum books?

I'm sorry. I have to say it. He's a "Kennedy heir" with "Kennedy hair". I believe he was also one of the first of the family to vehemently oppose the naming of RFKjr as HHS Secretary, wasn't he?

Interesting word choice from KL - "everyday prices have started to drop". Hasn't she been saying for at least nine months that prices had ALREADY dropped?

Hoping against hope that a lot of that crap can be scraped off the wall when he's out of office. On his show tonight, Colbert pointed out that the gold label outside the Oval is in the same font used at "luxury" nursing/retirement homes.

lol some friends were waiting for their order at a Chinese restaurant when they heard loud voices in the kitchen. They were wishing one of them spoke Chinese when their waiter backed out of the kitchen running . . . pursued by another man in an apron and wielding a large knife, chasing him outside!

Just checked. Even Google's AI mode says djt's tariffs are costing US citizens money, at least at the moment! Hmm. I've been resisting AI, but maybe .....

My family has three generations (dad, brother, and nephew) who served. Dad was Air Force, while my brother and nephew chose to serve in the Army.

Of the top thirty-three developed nations, thirty-two have found a way to give their citizens health care that is not dependent on an employer or deep pockets. Then there's the US.🙁
