And, mind you, this isn't middle-of nowhere smalltown Texas; Spring is a part of the Greater Houston Area (north side). Right there in the 4th-largest metropolis in the country. (And also...MATH?! Of all the subjects, they went with that one.)

So I just watched "2073" on Max, and when I wasn't crying, I was infuriated. Part documentary, part post-apocalyptic dystopian fiction, this film is an in-your-face wake-up call about the path we are currently on. Just...wow.

As I sit here rewatching "X-Men" movies, and remembering how, towards the end of the Infinity Saga, people started raging about Marvel being "woke," it hit me again: Marvel never changed; the audience did. Marvel has always been "woke," so either they didn't get it, or they radicalized and rejected.
