It’s winter in Australia but we are starting to see reminders that winter will pass. I guess it’s the same for our friends in the US: take heart because one day your winter will be over.

Republican actions in the US are breathtaking. They are attempting to erase people of colour, immigrants, people living with disabilities, LGBTQ people, women…The list goes on and on. Republican hatred has no bounds. How dare they call themselves Christians?

To al my Trans friends, I’m so sorry that trump’s first action was to try to pretend that you don’t exist. He is an ignorant fool. People all around the world see you and value you. Sending you love and support from Australia.

Summer in Melbourne so it’s sunny and warm. It’s so peaceful in the mornings that it’s hard to comprehend the global shift about to occur when an orange felon returns to the White House.

Christmas morning here in Australia. It’s summer so the air is warm and the skies are blue. There’s a sense of happy anticipation in the call of cockatoos and parrots and the buzz of cicadas. Merry Christmas to all!

I keep seeing posts of people in the US worried that they have become a laughing stock to those of us in the rest of the world. No one is laughing. We are horrified and wondering how such a grossly unqualified and dangerous person managed to stumble into the White House not just once but twice.
