Look at this lil one! I couldn’t help but see the black and green as it headed towards the road. Very unconcerned to trundle onto my sleeve, be carried down and across the road, and to the trees.
It’s a Pale Tussock, which is as wonderful in Moth form.

Look at this lil one! I couldn’t help but see the black and green as it headed towards the road. Very unconcerned to trundle onto my sleeve, be carried down and across the road, and to the trees.

Look at this boss. Front of the army, sword, billowing cape, on a big rock. Whatever the rest think, this dude has confidence they are In Charge of the whole situation.

So many butterflies! Walker around various parts of Hope Valley for three days or so, I felt like clouds of butterflies kept appearing. This butterfly bush was aptly busy, more wing than leaf.

A view from the garden, as there’s evidence of very enthusiastic Thrushes. Areas of the garden are a bit wild, which gives good hiding spots for a lot of snails under low plants and around a low wall. That is then good for the birds. *Badly sings Circle of Life*

I continue to enjoy becoming my mum in certain aspects, such as age just meaning more confidence in wearing what I like tyvm, even if it could be considered a grab at dressing like my 20’s.
Also, Totoro socks quietly getting me through Tuesday.

Four barrows, and the view from atop one of them. Basically four lowish humps by a field. But also thousands of years of human engagement with the landscape and death. Marvellous space.

Visited Four Barrows at Aldbourne on Friday, and quite like the accidental reflection placement which makes it look like my hands are holding the tv image inside the phone screen.

A different #NatureWalkToTheBus, it’s nature I’ve brought inside. These roses wholly scent a space, and the rose bush cheerfully blooms for a couple of months, huge soft orbs. The irises reappeared a couple of years ago when I cleared undergrowth and was rewarded with a bank of unexpected purple.
