Prof Walshe was my external supervisor for my PhD. Firm and fair. She supportive afterwards and very encouraging of me. Glad to see this award launched in her memory. #ESSD2025
Yesterday we held a touching obituary session in memory of Prof. Margaret Walshe.

In honour of Prof Walshe, we are pleased to launch the new annual ESSD Prof Margaret Walshe Award. This award will recognise outstanding postgraduate research in the field of dysphagia.

Yes I agree with this! Also important to be civil and kind even when under pressure
What I thought would solve moral injury:
-Working harder
-Caring less
-Quitting my job

What actually leads to healing:
-Connecting with others who share my values
-Making tiny choices that align with who I am
-Seeking moments of ethical clarity amid the chaos

We can't fix broken systems alone.
