Yeah I've done it only with Google APIs, they are still the best placedb in the world.

The way the app works is it queries once for the place info and stores it for use locally on the device.

that's cool. is that something that often happens?

I feel though with LLMs now, you can get at least close to interpreting how to query the db if you had the data.

Found that these coding agents are great at writing code, but really bad at coming up with good UX. Most of my interventions were making it use standard components, fixing icons, placement, etc.

Also it got stuck on integration with the Activity Recognition API which took a full day to resolve.
