Fancied learning something new today so I opened up LinkedIn Learning. The clearly AI generated “career goal” thing is useless. Assistant Researcher is not my current role. It’s taking “Personal Assistant, Research and Innovation Service” from my profile and failing to understand 🙄

In a meeting today, a colleague asked what the difference is between the 3-star and 4-star quality descriptors in REF. Another colleague brilliantly explained 4-star as “like getting a 10 from Craig Revel Horwood on Strictly”

Almost forgot to share tree number 2! The Nightmare Before Christmas tree has returned with a new addition for 2024; a plushie of Jack’s dog Zero, which was a gift brought back from Disneyland Paris.

Finished tree number 1. This one was a shiny new addition for our lovely new home last year. Tomorrow I’ll sort out the trusty old Nightmare Before Christmas tree, that has been added to gradually over the last 20 years (the tree itself was bought from Homebase back in 2001!)

Last night I went to Leeds Grand Theatre to watch the touring production of &Juliet, which is still an absolutely joyful experience! Turns out, it’s been exactly five years since I attended the opening night at the Shaftesbury Theatre in London 💘
