"How Andrew's BBC interview compares to what Epstein emails tell us now" […]

It's one of those days when your penultimate guess in both Nerdle and Wordle makes tidy blocks of right-right-wrong.

Auspicious day. The biro clipped to the magnetic notepad on the fridge ran out. It was used for writing shopping lists and nothing else and had lasted years. It fills me with hope that my crate of old unfinished biros might be reduced to merely a large box by perhaps the mid point of this century.

Moon and Jupiter through tree. Corner of Orion on the right. Taken on phone but binoculars showed three moons Jupiter.

Happy New Year and all that. Another trip around the sun. The World Turns is a way of saying things change. What's new for you? What do you want to change? This song is a kind of executive summary of my album Finding Time which follows that theme from start to finish (available at all good […]

Had the solution at row 4 but thought, what if I keep putting the same guess in? Will Nerdle politely point out that I'm repenting myself?
Answer: No.

I'm beginning to wonder whether there might be a point after which if you leave the bag in any longer the tea doesn't actually get any stronger.

Thinking of doing a video where I react to reaction videos. I'll be mostly saying things like, "I can't believe you've never heard this song before. How old are you? Have you been living under a rock?"

"...a large tanker, very large, largest one ever seized actually..."
"We keep it, I guess."
You could make it up. But there's no need.

From now on I'm going to unboost toots that are edited after I boost them. For one thing, someone who edits once is quite likely to edit twice or more and I don't want the notifications. Been there, done that, moved on. For another, what have they changed? Do I still want to put my name to it? […]

Humans are becoming AI. Their world is perceived in tiny rectangles of secondhand scrapings from someone else's observation. They ignore their own senses and delegate their intelligence to machines they do not control. Artificial intelligence is becoming the only intelligence. Good luck to us.

The only thing I need from AI is an app that can recognise when I'm putting something down. It doesn't need to remember what or where I'm putting it down. It just needs to make a loud peep when I'm doing it and I'll do the rest.

I remember saying at the start of the millennium that the new decade should become known as the noughties. Hearing it used on BBC news this morning (re Limp Bizkit) finally struck home that it's established. Don't know if it was used in previous centuries. Any improvements on plain old twenty tens?
