Lion, of Perth. Yes, my first name translates to that.

Part time Hiigaran.

Geek, nerd, HEMA, game dev and not a gamer. Tabletop, board, ttrpg, console and pc. I go where there's games I want to play.

Perth is my city and Sandgroper at heart.
Pads look a bit weird.

Hope he's got a cup.

When it doubt, it's always a trap.

Well deserved mate. Very well deserved.

Everything you just said.

Some of the time art is the process, the trying, the learning and even the failing. Learning that you still have a lot to learn.

Learning what the piece needs to be.

And I don't mean the ones in my pants.

You get it. Exactly why you should go there once.
November 18, 2025 at 10:46 AM
I would go there just to say I went there. I'd invite people there just to say 'Find Bollocks'.

I'm also exceedingly juvenile at times.

As a rule, the last people I listen to on any tech are the marketing people and first adopters.

Give me a use case I can test, analyse and to a degree, customise. I can check the output against the promise.

You see HFY fiction? All GenAI to my ears.
November 18, 2025 at 10:37 AM
I think I remember that one.

On some level it felt more a ML/RL level application than a GenAI thing.

Worth a rewatch, especially now.
November 18, 2025 at 10:33 AM
I'm with you on the second part. It's the informed consent that's got to be really obvious.

Thing is, how many companies, groups are going to be that honest? Do the record keeping and tracking to make sure it doesn't end up as training material?

Not enough. Nowhere near enough.
November 18, 2025 at 9:17 AM
ML can be great, just like what you said.

Also, yeap, uh huh, you got it on GenAI.

Thing is how many people do you know could explain the difference between those?
November 18, 2025 at 9:15 AM
As someone who needs to talk about agent behaviour and has some understanding of the different levels, systems of...

Where's a desk I won't break with the repeated high velocity impacts.

Some people really do not know what they are talking.
November 17, 2025 at 4:33 PM
You ain't wrong on this one.

The thing is there are ways to use it. Arc Raiders paid VA's to train a model for the lines and..... look, I need to do more research on it. It's just that component that is GenAI as far as I know.

Need to know more, research more.
November 17, 2025 at 4:31 PM
Yeah, I do see a bit of raptor in that.

Dealing with an agency here that's supposed to help people like me.

Can't/won't do anything.

Agency that lost parts of my application, gave me a case officer for a hearing three weeks after the hearing etc. It's not a short list of failures.
November 9, 2025 at 10:45 AM
Wish I could argue with you.

I think we think the same, just the road that got us there is rather different.

When you use the words human waste to describe how people and organisations treat you?
November 9, 2025 at 10:34 AM
You had me at Studio Ghibli.
November 4, 2025 at 9:48 AM
Only 80?

Definitely my experience.

I think I manage about 1,000 odd job applications without a job offer.

Made job hunting a job. Didn't work.

I'd say I joke I know one person who wants me to have a job....

Might be time for a replay of Republic Commando.

So many moments, different lines they had.

That she was.

Truly a person who cared. We need far, far more like her.

It's feeling more like this.

Just with eye rolling.
a man in a suit and tie is covering his face while standing next to another man in a suit and tie .

A whole lot of whine.

Bad whine too. Not good for sharing, no cheese should be wasted being paired with that.
October 2, 2025 at 1:07 PM
Benedict his Cumberbatch?

Sounds kinky. Does it involve frying pans? Food?

I want to know the answers.
October 2, 2025 at 1:05 PM
Glad to hear it's gotten some good translations.

It's a fine art and getting it right? Lifts the work up.

I can wholeheartedly recommend a whole chunk of Pratchett's work.

I'm more of a fan of the Witches and Guards than the other series, but they're all very readable.

Mort had some moments I remember.
