...a higher degree of uncertainty when it comes to the substance of Washington’s foreign policy than what we assume in Europe. A gloomy picture, to say the least.
Apart from that, restaurants, blues/soul concerts, cocktail bars and the Bulls Vs. Cavs game!

I also attended several panels on East Asia and, of course, on US domestic politics and foreign policy. In the latter regard, I must say that the information I absorbed, both from the panels and by talking to people “in the street,” reveals a deeper polarization of the American society and... 2/3

2 Russian Tu-95 bombers, each accompanied by a fighter, making U-turns near Japan while 1 anti-submarine warfare aircraft patrols the Sea of Japan.
This China-in-Taiwan Strait type of trajectories began, to my knowledge, in summer 2024.
