I’ve love playing big guy type races in games cause they’re my most favorite but they’re never the main protagonist in media (especially in animation unless it’s superhero themed) and if they were, they die. A lot.
So it’s my duty to create art starring big guys (without them dying.)

www.artstation.com/artwork/gR9K3G Kai Chang’s early ideas and concepts for Hazard is amazing though I can see why these wouldn’t been used for current Hazard. They’re seem more like bosses than playable heroes and designing skins for the last two images wouldn’t been practical in the pipeline.

Out of all games, I always find myself replaying a very niche game called Neopets the Darkest Faerie. Weird I know. A Zelda clone, not well reviewed, usual fantasy tropes, glitches everywhere yet I adored every minute playing it and would always go back for comfort.

Comparing a low-resolution image with a high-definition in-game model is not the best example to make a point.
As for me, I like Hazard’s design (I have a weakness for blond headed, muscular guys in leather jackets so he’s made for me.)
