Proudly neurodivergent, unhinged feminist. Enough childhood trauma to be funny. Often nerdy. Not childless but definitely a cat lady. Lover of: food | dancing, music, & musicals | books | wine | mountains
It's not easy to keep track of all the scandals! I only remember because at the time I got into an argument about how it was not the same as what bill Cosby did because drugging and robbing someone is different than drugging and sexually assaulting them.

I think you're thinking of Cardi B. Nikki was involved in a SA scandal with her husband.

Exactly. And 'fatphobic mean girl' is definitely not a new type of person. As always though, love the meltdowns.

One Christmas I only purchased gifts from small businesses that donated profits to charity or otherwise supported causes I support. I was able to find options for everyone on my list and didn't support any of the corporations. An idea for those who want physical gifts for their kids to open.

Oh of course, completely absurd. And disgusting and bullshit. And will 1000% be used by horrible people for horrible reasons. That's why I wondered if it was realistically possible to teach the computer to do the opposite of what they want.

Thanks. I do everything I can to avoid using AI, I've never used chatGPT or anything similar, except maybe that paper clip guy from 90's Microsoft Word. So it's all a little - a lot over my head.

Thank you. This is what I was wondering

I mean you wouldn't even have to actually use it, but if accused of discriminating against white people, you could *say* that you did use it. If we can't stop it from happening then we can at least cause some good trouble with it. Also I smoked wax earlier so I might not be clearly communicating

Right. But what I was trying to say is if it could be used to hire white people based on race and call it science, it could also be used to promote DEI and when the white people cry about it, again- it's science.

Regardless it's horrible and I'm in no way saying it should ever happen, period

Would a company not be in charge of their own algorithms?

Starvation and travel difficulties for Thanksgiving week.

Perhaps a computer algorithm could be conditioned to work the other way around. Promote candidates that would have traditionally been included in DEI initiatives. Maybe the algorithm doesn't think old white men would be good workers...not that I want to find out but if we have to play by their rules

A few years ago I only purchased Christmas gifts from companies that were making a difference. Donating their profits, supporting causes I support, etc. There are surprisingly an awful lot of options and I had no problems finding something for everyone on my list. Feels good to spend money that way

I won't be helping the people in the yachts though.

They seem to think it will keep them safe, but eventually they'll end up in the camps too, and they won't have an easy time making friends.
