2024 has been a year of big changes for me, with the highlight being my new role as Principal Investigator at SIBCB (linlab.sibcb.ac.cn). I’m incredibly grateful for the support of my mentors and colleagues throughout my academic journey, and I’m excited to start this next chapter with my own team!

However, currently available RNA editors such as TRIBE, DART or STAMP have limitations due to RNA structure and sequence dependence. We engineered an RNA A-to-I deaminase (named rABE) with directed protein evolution that has high activity, low bias and low background. (3/7)
