Today, the Debian Project announced the release and general availability of Debian 13.2 as the second update to the latest Debian GNU/Linux 13 “Trixie” operating system series. Coming two and a half months after **Debian 13.1** , the Debian 13.2 point release offers updated installation media to those who want to deploy the latest Debian Trixie operating system on new hardware or those who had issues with the previous ISO images. This is also the recommended ISO to download if you want to install the latest Debian GNU/Linux 13 “Trixie” operating system and don’t want to download hundreds of updates from the repositories after the installation. In numbers, Debian 13.2 includes a total of 123 bug fixes for miscellaneous packages and 55 security updates. Details about these security and miscellaneous bug fixes can be found on the _release announcement page_. Debian 13.2 installation images are available for download from _here_ for 64-bit (amd64), AArch64 (arm64), RISC-V 64-bit (riscv64), PowerPC 64-bit Little Endian (ppc64el), IBM System z (s390x), and ARMhf (armhf) hardware architectures. Live images of Debian 13.2 are also available for download from _here_ for 64-bit systems, preinstalled with the **KDE Plasma 6.3.6** , **GNOME 48** , **Xfce 4.20** , **Cinnamon 6.4.10** , LXQt 2.1, MATE 1.26.1, and LXDE 0.11.1 desktop environments. There’s also a “Junior” edition with the IceWM window manager and a “Standard” edition without a graphical environment. Existing **Debian 13 “Trixie”** users should only update their installations by running the _sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade_ commands in a terminal emulator or virtual console, or by using a graphical package manager, such as Synaptic Package Manager. There’s no need to download the new ISO images.
