I miss the simple and predictable life. As much fun as Tokyo could be, it’s not what I’m looking for at this stage of my life.

So my partner and I have been living in Okinawa for about a year. Right now I’m in Tokyo on business. I looked out the window from the train, sights I’ve seen everyday for years. Then walked to get to the office and realized I miss Okinawa and how tired I was of the big city filled witg people.

Me & my partner have been together for 9 years & we’ve kinda ran out of ideas for gifts. We’re well into our 50’s & we have “things”. So we decided to do something together on our anniversary & such instead. Like taking trips, having nice meals & it’s been great. You never know what inspires you.

But I choose to count my blessings, recognize what I have and appreciate all the good stuff. It’s not always easy. But it gives me a chance to re-evaluate my life and how I want to live it.

Even when there’s a lot of good stuff happening sh*t still happens. I’m not a huge fan of roller coasters but life can put you on one sometimes. Hits me hard, you know? Lol

I don’t wear my ink lightly, especially in this country (Japan) where many people are still under the misguided impression that tattooing is an act of rebellion, societal menace of some kind. Whatever they may think it’s been around in Asia & Oceania literally for thousands of years. It’s culture.

But the important thing is that I went. Just cuz I don’t have it 100%, doesn’t mean I should just skip and do nothing. Resting is important but so is consistency. As long as I know when to stop, I can do something. Just do what I can.

It’s been 4 days since the asthma attack and I was able to handle 50% of my usual workout routine today. I got lightheaded toward the end so I had to stop lol

Maybe I’m still hesitant to go heavy again. At my age if I injure myself it takes long to heal. Plus lifting heavy sorta obscures the sense of muscle contraction as you tend to cheat my using other surrounding muscles. But it may be time to incorporate heavy weights just to shock my body a bit.

Some songs require certain types of voice. Just because I wrote it, it doesn’t mean my voice works best on it. I don’t always have the right tone of voice or vocal styles/skills. Which is why some of the songs I released were sung by other singers. Sometimes it’s just cool to be a producer.
