Agreed - foresee it being just as difficult for Amber as it was for Chelsea

Yes, exactly. Empirically a termination would be best for Amber in her specific circumstances. Yet, the speed with which they must make such a life-changing decision (terminate or carry to full term) is crippling to young women, as we saw with Chelsea. #thearchers

I think I know Claire through #thearchers
The thinking woman's radio drama 😅

Yes, we did, but so long back i can't be sure. I think it was £10 million, when Brian was offering in the region of £5m #thearchers

This was traditional fare in the north of England too. I think it's still relatively common here, and certainly universal with a fish and chip tea #thearchers

Ed. He didn't know it was Will's dog. Ed and Emma bought him a sheepdog puppy for Christmas after it happened #thearchers

Completely deliberate. There was a long time when he was deliberately disruptive to access arrangements too. What an arse he was during George's childhood #thearchers

Yes, that's the second job that she took on because one day a week as a school cook wasn't enough. So, jaybe four days a week. Knitting ferrets is to occupy her evenings 😉 #thearchers

Yes, that's how he bought the house he lives in now with George. For years he rented it out, giving him extra income on top of his gamekeeper wages. He could afford to spoil George with expensive presents and, basically, passed on his own sense of self-entitlement to his son.

It's what happens when pigheadedness combines with stupidity #thearchers
January 10, 2026 at 9:04 PM
We do know the school job is only one day per week. She told us she couldn't manage with only one day's pay a week, hence needing the second job #thearchers

Ooh! I always add peas. Then broccoli on the side for extra greeness
January 10, 2026 at 1:47 PM
And margarine because, well, it's cheap 😄
January 10, 2026 at 9:52 AM
Yep, I agree (although generally sans beurre 😄). I mentioned that Clary loves all things French #thearchers
January 10, 2026 at 9:52 AM
Exactly, so familiar to us common as muck people 😂 #thearchers
January 10, 2026 at 9:37 AM
I wouldn't put it past Harrison to try and fit up Markie's gang for it, either. A nice bit of irony there too #thearchers
January 10, 2026 at 8:00 AM
Traditionally in the north it's with every dinner but I agree, fish and chips seems to be the last of the traditional ways #thearchers
January 10, 2026 at 7:50 AM
Yes if they're following northern cuisine, no if French. Clarrie is (was?) very fond of France #thearchers

I can confidently answer no. 3 - they wouldn't. Therefore Someone Else Did! Still mystery to be solved there I think #thearchers
January 9, 2026 at 11:25 PM
They definitely wouldn't have called the ambulance. Therefore, someone else did. Fallon? Harrison? Brad? Still plenty of mystery to go, I think #thearchers

If the feed is mucked up for whatever reason I try clicking on the hashtag. You can usually see the current tweets there and can reply to them #thearchers
January 9, 2026 at 3:21 PM
Yep, without raisins the teacake would just be a bread cake #thearchers
January 9, 2026 at 2:58 PM
And a Sit Down 🙂
January 9, 2026 at 2:56 PM
We have muffins too but they don't usually contain fruit. Cheese sometimes, they're very nice #thearchers
