Why is OC Transpo working so hard to convince the residents of Ottawa that we can't rely on their service?

I bet this is the only time Bunsen has been compared to a mouse

This recipe might have some tips (they suggest putting the mix in the freezer for 30 minutes)

I am not suggesting you use this recipe instead of your mother's, I know that would be sacrilege

It's more than just language though:
- representation levels relative to the rest of Canada
- I believe they're why we have the notwithstanding clause
- if I remember right, they have a different foundation for their laws
- They actually stand up for themselves and what they feel they deserve

Can you imagine Trump dealing with Quebec?

I know I'm not required to use your blocklist, which is why I'm not using it any more.
December 1, 2024 at 11:04 PM
This a bad call, but it's your list.

One oif the reasons I use BlueSky is for a news aggregator, I know I won't agree with it all. This sort of blanket block of entire organizations would make the site useless to me, and into the echo chamber they claim.

Your list, your (bad) decision though
December 1, 2024 at 10:48 PM
That's two moderation lists I have stopped using because they have gone further than I am comfortable with.

Blocking entire news organizations is too far (blocking Brian Lilley is a good start though)

And in case there's any doubt where I stand, I hope the postal workers get a contract they can live with. And also that the manager who decided to layoff the employees, gets his own layoff notice.
December 1, 2024 at 10:30 PM
Yep, this video says the government allowed Canada Post to do it. NOT that they ordered them to do it.

The worker lost their benefits as a result of the layoff, not a specific action.

As I said, this was a stupid move by Canada Post, and will make it easier for the union to get support
December 1, 2024 at 10:26 PM
I haven't seen this idea mentioned anywhere else (the government directing CP to remove medical benefits). Any evidence?

A correction though, they laid people off, not just removed benefits

It's a stupid move by Canada Post, but I have no problem believing they came up with it on their own.

So Mouat flies a black flag? Interesting!

Just kidding, it's interesting seeing what things aren't quite what we expect

But if you remove the hateful, dismissive, and plain old racist responses, they have the same number of comments

I have a hard enough time making sure I do all the stuff I'm supposed to do. I can't imagine trying to control someone else's life

If you can Santa-fy that, I might just buy iot from you ship to a friend of mine
