I’m painting beautiful colors and my favorite flowers and birds these days. It is my way of calming myself during this chaotic time in the world.

The week between Christmas and New Year’s is an odd time. I lose track of what day it is. My grandpa used to refer to it as “the interyule season.”

This little chipmunk is lighting his way in the dark forest. I painted this recently while the seasonal darkness closed in.

My Samoyed puppy Mayzie. This is what she looked like when we got her this summer. It’s amazing how fast she’s growing.
