He gets off on having insults thrown at him. It just makes him feel important and cool. Weakness and incompetence hate to be mocked.

The pictures of Hegseth and the DOD need to change...literally. open.substack.com/pub/contrari...
Split Screen: Pete Hegseth and the Visual War Machine
The uniformly dignified visual treatment of the Defense secretary stands in sharp contrast to how other political figures are portrayed.

This feels like an attempt to re-pathologize. Only a few decades ago it was common to hear pregnant women point out that they were "pregnant not sick". Women who are having issues should be able to get a limilted disability parking pass.
December 3, 2025 at 7:20 PM
OBGYN's could just give pregnant women who require them a limited handicap parking approval. Most women don't suffer to this extent. Those that do should able to use handicap parking spots.

With all the leadership changes, and high-level news departues at the station, I've stopped watching CBS News. I'm glad there's still some journalism going there.

Agreed that Schumer needs to be replaced. But, I won't follow @indivisible.org in their misguided and damaging plan for mass primaries. What have you got in mind? Call-in campaign? remove Schumer protest? I'm in. But, not okay with starting a party Civil War.

They sucked all the energy out of the election wins- fuck 'em. But, if the Epstein discharge papers are signed, federal workers get back pay AND they're willing to shut it down again in Jan when the R's screw 'em on the ACA vote (and they will) it could work out.
November 12, 2025 at 12:16 AM
Starting a Civil War in the party isn't the answer. Yes, dump Schumer, Durbin's not running again, sooo... But, I'm not supporting a primary challenge based on this. This is s dumb move.

Now Johnson has to seat Rep Grijalava the final name to release the Epstein File. Hopefully a few outstanding lawsuits on POTUS' authority during shut downs are resolved. And, if there isn't a vote on ACA before January, the Dems try again. What am I missing?
November 10, 2025 at 6:04 AM
Well, sounds like they're guaranting that the GOP will keep their word and put forward an ACA vote by January. If not they'll have to shut down again. At least Johnson will have to swear in the Rep Grijald.

Call Angus King. He has negotiated the deal and joined Fetterman and the others who have been voting with the Republicans. Schumer has pledged to vote "no".
