even after the objectively better anime version of aot ending, ive seen people say "they made it worse" and im so confused on how removing a pretty badly executed line of thanking for genocide and adding more dialogue to make it less rushed and better paced makes it "so much worse"

just the general way everyone wanted certain headcanons to be true or some ships that werent confirmed, it really blew out of proportions and at some point just got to spreading misinformation

i wanted to hate the aot ending so bad when i originally watched it, but the more critques of it i read, the more things started making less sense and the more i loved it

will, but there was still the want of connection, which later on she realizes she had with her children, and that the one with the king was one she had to let go, and that was less of eren's part, and more mikasa and armin, but yeah, eren was still part of the reason she reached to that freedom

that got the titan power to go on all these years, and that love translated into her listening to anyone with the royal blood, and it was only until eren reminded her that she is no slave nor god, only a person who can make a choice, where she chooses him over the royal blood, to commit to eren's

but with her also is the want of connection, one of the first panels we see her in is her watching a wedding, and the core mechanics of the paths is the idea of all eldians being connected because that was what she ultimately wanted, but she got stuck in a toxic nightmarish love
