The highlight of this trip was suddenly being in the dark in the middle of the woods next to a sacred tree and having a Cardiac Event so I sat under it and ate chocolate in a completely silent woods besides weasels bouncing around. ‘Can a disabled person do this’ I mutter, unafraid but exhausted

The only real things I saw were the original old figures that were selling for an insane amount, but there’s always next time!!

I say ‘pelagic’ because it’s the ferry from Miyakejima and I’m using it as an excuse to bird (even though it’s almost way too windy to be on deck)

Nothing really to write home about yet, but I’m about to do a day trip to one of the Izu islands to grab some unique island birds (and maybe albatross???)
