In short, it just sucks that only older games go on sale because I already have them, so good sales like this have nothing for me to acquire.

Sadly, older games are more likely already owned due to new game hype pushing many (like me) to buy at a higher price sooner into the game's lifetime, so they can be enjoyed and talked about with friends.

You really need to troubleshoot your computer and see what's up with the instability. My self-built Frankensteinean PC has been reliable for over a decade.

Does anyone else have access to your home? You can ask them about the missing Switch or if they gave further access to the home whilst you were away at work.

Uh, if that's all that was missing, it's more likely misplaced than stolen. Also, did you bring that with you to work, or was it at home with you away from it when lost?
