Go for it! Live shows are a great way to feel fellowship with strangers and you can never talk to your mates during the show anyway. It’s not at all sad. It’s joyous.

Haven’t read Persepolis, but Maus is fantastic. Incredible message, some humor, fun art style. I would absolutely check that one out. It’s on a lot of banned lists so you know it’s good.
