Mainly grumbling about #Readingfc
Surely would have had to jump on the precedent set by Ukraine and said you cant host there's a war taking place on your territory. Regardless wouldn't be shocked if the voting system is rejigged for next year to avoid another close call.

Pending what ends up on the Christmas TV schedule or if King Charles dies before the year end - although it's hard to imagine something realistic that will be big enough to top this now.

Watching on delay but that news dosent surprise me - thought the performances on Tuesday and so far tonight all felt quite flat and it feels like the audience have been turned right down this year. Hopefully it gets better for Saturday.

I think the big risk for Labour is also being out flanked on the Left by the Lib Dems and the Greens.
Either they double down on the long game and assume things will have improved by 2029, or start dropping some of the poor PR policies.

Don't think putting it as Greens lending votes to Labour would be the way to phrase it, more that of the 2,000+ that voted Green, I'm sure you'd find 7 who regretted it and would prefer a Labour MP to a Reform MP.

I do wonder with today's council results and the one from Runcorn if we're going to see even more of a shift towards tactical voting at future elections. Will Lib Dem, Green + Labour voters tactically mass even more around 1 candidate than what they have already been doing?

There's a few that run to Staines, couldn't tell you the numbers off the top of my head though.

I actually think the Brothers and Mother/Son are going to have a bigger story to tell actually, feels like there were a few hints in that episode that there's a long story behind both of them.

And you still know there's so so much more to learn about the cast too, there's normally something about a cast member each episode that you don't see coming.

Sneaky shout for Dorsett as well who seems to have been forgotten about and would probably be our best bet at LB against a decent number of sides too.

Depends on who you're playing. I think I'd have a different answer if it were Wrexham/Wycombe compared to if it were Stockport/Charlton.

And also the other question of should LHR be congratulated for making an early proactive decision to shut down for the day rather than hedging their bets that they might be able to open, or criticised for being too cautious with their outlook when things went wrong.

I guess the question is finding the level of contingency that allows you to keep operating until factors beyond your control force you to shut down (e.g. all transport to the airport broken).
March 31, 2025 at 7:28 PM
At least the closure happened overnight rather than the middle of the day. From a logistical POV, getting into a position to restart LHR ops either Saturday or Sunday morning shouldn't be too challenging.

The It was knocked out by someone pulling the wrong plug out a socket a few years back, that electrician must be thinking they're in the middle of one of their nightmares rn.

Think you've spelt Wraysbury wrong. Also worth checking if Ashford (Surrey) is a intentional decision to drop the Surrey as well.

Think it depends on how he reacts, takes the time to acknowledge the fans and refuse to celebrate if he scores I don't think it'll be bad, celebrate a goal in front of the Dolan kissing the Wrexham badge, he'd get what he deserves.
