I like snarky commenting. Anti-Trump. Anti-ICE. Was for the Black lady. Pro Mamdani/AOC/Bernie; anti Schumer/Fetterman. Dems need to get younger, fight for principles not cave to social interests.
This plot twist is not believable. The writers have lost their way now, I’m afraid.

And that is in the face of only 144,000 of them who will actually be saved while the rest are subject to eternal hell fire.

Chris Thile is fantastic. There’s a fabulous and fascinating interview of him by Rick Beato on Rick’s YouTube channel. Chris shines.

It’s $1 trillion over 1 trillion years.

You want to talk conspiracies? Why is it that you never see any photos of Lindbergh’s baby and George Soros? Because Soros trafficked that baby straight to British royalty…and Raskin knows all about it.

Solid for Trump? Likely growing. Blue states? Likely in recession or high risk of heading there. Says something. But not about Blue or Red. Most of the population lives in the states colored yellow or red. Says the overall economy is headed for a recession.

MAGA believes him even if their lived experience is the opposite. They chalk it up to the Blue State they live in or the specific big bad corporation that they are forced to go to. They might be paying more, but the nation as a whole is not - 25% less in fact!
No data that will convince them.

She hates him but she’s also a raging Nazi, unempathetic beeyacht: fits right in to the Trump/MAGA crowd (sans the adoration of him).

Ruin? There’s no need to Claus a scene.

I’ll hire you as CEO and pay you $1 trillion in options to run my company if you can increase its market valuation (and sustain it) to $10 trillion. If you don’t, well then it’s worth zero.

I mean if we want to talk historical texts; Aristotle’s “The Failure of Communism in Democratic City-states” or Pharaoh Ramses II’s commissioned work titled “Capitalism beats Communism Every Day in the Upper Nile Agrarian Communities”.

With communism for 1,000 years??

I live in PA and Fetterman represents the middle of the state perfectly. From Altoona to Harrisburg to Williamsport to Scranton/Wilkes Barre to working class Bethlehem and Easton. If suburbs are fed up, he loses. If wealthy in suburbs stay with GOP for tax breaks and white preservation, he wins.

Money and access have always shaped who gets heard. Even so, in every era, patrons competed to support artists who rose above their peers. Countless brilliant voices never got the chance, unfortunately, but Bach’s genius is unquestionable and stands the test of time across many different eras.

And you thought he wanted Greenland and Canada! He really wanted the oil producing countries in the Western Hemisphere. That’s his deal with Putin. U.S. gives up Europe, but U.S. gets Venezuela, Mexico, even Argentina…and sure Greenland and Canada too.
October 25, 2025 at 12:42 PM
This is missing the point. The military is apparently being paid regardless of normal process and who authorizes it and whether that’s being withheld due to the government shutdown. Trump has managed to get them paid through private donations. They’re now paid off book. Beholden only to Trump.

And well before Biden even decided to run and certainly before failing candidate Biden got rescued by South Carolina.

Political capital is a euphemism for “ability to achieve one’s agenda”, to be able to get what you want done. By any measure, Trump is doing whatever he wants. From ICE raids to troops in cities to weaponizing the DOJ to the East Wing. Congress, SCOTUS, and BigTech bow before him->political capital.
October 25, 2025 at 12:30 PM
1. He’s POTUS. He won.
2. He’s not “doing this”, he’s done it; East Wing and promenade are gone.
3. Ergo, he has the political capital.

The goal is to restructure SS and Medicare for a time when we live to 85+. They were designed for a 72 life span. So you retire at 65 and have a few years on an oxygen bottle. Now people live 20-25 years on SS and Medicare. So:
- curtail HC to kill as many srs as possible
- make everyone work to 80
October 24, 2025 at 2:52 PM
They’re fine with feeling it. They believe that we will have to go through some things before we get better. Have to get rid of the immigrants. Have to eliminate all Dem programs. Have to restore Christianity as the nation’s religion. “Will be hard but we’ll get there,” they say.
October 24, 2025 at 1:12 PM
What might that look like? They wouldn’t offer some kind of amnesty re the Feds coming into the state and arresting you. They’re not doing that now with their illegal arrests and detentions of potential undocumented residents. I doubt they’d support in anyway a state full of tax scofflaws.
October 23, 2025 at 3:53 PM
W-4.

And you bring up a good point: employers are also paying half of your FICA tax. That won’t stop. And while FICA is supposed to be a designated fund for Medicare and Social Security, it’s likely that that will continue to be raided.
October 23, 2025 at 3:51 PM
That has to be done on an individual by individual basis. States don’t pay anything to the federal government. Only its residents (people and businesses).
It would mean you and every other resident taxpayer in the state to stop all withholding and refuse to file and pay in April. People won’t do it.
