The "MAGA cult" won the popular vote in this election. Reorient your perspective or they will continue to vote in a way you don't like. You mocked them into a second victory. You lost ground. Everywhere. You backslid with every demographic but white women. Latino men went 50% for Trump.

Mocking your caricature of a conservative isn't beneficial to mutual understanding. Most people are fundamentally decent, but see things like this and dig in. You are no better than the people you mock. Perhaps worse, because you ought to be enlightened enough to stop the cycle.

Absolutely. Most moderate conservatives however like to talk to liberals, and that's why you only see crazy MAGA people and further right go to apps like Truth. I don't want to be in a... mutual admiration society. I also get infuriated when I see people representing my positions poorly.

What are Alts?

Some do it for malicious reasons. I have some socially conservative-leaning views but I like to discuss civilly where I can. Twitter is vile, bot ridden, and laggy. BlueSky is clean. Am I likely to get banned for conservative takes or do you just have to keep it cool?
