Admiring the three (!!) recent positive read-outs of Medicaid care delivery interventions. (Perhaps now is not the time to knee-cap Medicaid innovation?!)

Shout-out to all of the rural health care providers, w/extra gratitude for those who care for my family. #healthcareheroes

If you care about rural #healthequity, you care about #Medicaid. It's doing the work. (And even if you only care about racking up rural votes, you should still care about #Medicaid).
Medicaid Facts: people who live in rural areas/small towns disproportionately rely on Medicaid compared to those living in metropolitan counties.

Medicaid covered 47% of rural children and 40% of children living in urban areas in 2020-2021. #healthpolicy

I'm no political scientist, so please excuse my naiveté....but perhaps cutting #Medicaid isn't the best political strategy for the Republicans given these demographics? Just sayin'....

Nerds against infectious disease?! IN! Can’t wait to read the book.
“Part of the reason we allowed so many millions of people to die of TB over the last decade is because we didn’t know we were allowing it. We weren’t paying attention to the crisis.”

Hoping to rekindle connections w/fellow (health) data nerds #onhere. In that spirit, I offer up a mean reversion haiku "co-produced" w/ChatGPT, taught alongside the Camden Coalition RCT in class last week.

As a (once and future) Medicaid researcher, I'm really hoping some smart colleague will study how the Medicaid "unwinding" impacts health-related quality of life. I suspect they'll find something meaningful (and worrisome...) #medicaid #hrqol

What is common knowledge in your field, but shocks outsiders?

The top 1% of people with the highest medical spending in the U.S. represent more than one-fifth (21%) of all medical spending nationally. The 50% of folks with the lowest medical spending only make up 3% of total spending. #healthpolicy

Ode to the JAMA visual abstract. How did we live before this?! Seriously, though, it nails #PICOTS* display and is an A+ teaching tool.
