I've been hoping for this! Let's hope little rhody is next!
Some good news! These plus-in systems are all over Europe, whereas rooftop solar in the US is stupidly tied up in red tape, making it costly. All states should adopt this, like Utah did. And entirely nonpartisan—which is a weird thing to have to say about clean energy.
New Hampshire and Vermont could be next to introduce "balcony solar"
Cheap, plug-in systems that reduce people's bills without red tape are piquing bipartisan interest.

This is absolutely disgusting. This was a state sanctioned murder of unarmed, starving people. We have apologized for this atrocity (which is the least we could do). These men should not receive any commendation.

He's right about one thing though. Their place in history IS settled. As murderers.
There’s a reason it’s usually referred to as the Wounded Knee Massacre – American soldiers mercilessly killed unarmed Lakota men, women, children and elders.

There was no honor in what happened that day. This is a stain on our history.

I find it deeply disturbing that Brown had capitulated to this administration. If you have ever walked down Thayer St. you know that this is an area of open expression and hope. To try and erase that or suppress it is cruel, and I believe will prove ultimately futile. Shame on Brown University.
ACLU of RI, GLAD Law, and RI Center for Justice respond to Brown’s anti-transgender agreement with Trump

"It is shocking that an institution that has long welcomed, celebrated, and protected LGBTQ+ people on campus would so quickly cave in to the administration’s cruel and coercive agenda."

So ICE kidnappers engage in a car chase through Providence, don't alert the police of this, hit the car they're chasing, then the police show up and help them disappear the guy. Can we send them a bill for the police response and fines for causing an accident? They're flush with cash these days...
What does collaboration and public safety mean in a world where ICE and the police rampage through communities?
Colonel Perez maintains that Providence Police Officers were not collaborating with ICE during an early morning arrest on Sunday, but cellphone video seems to indicate otherwise.

Excellent reporting on how drug prices are set not based on recouping costs, but really just cashing in. And as usual people are left behind to suffer and die.
Sophia Gaynor was born with spinal muscular atrophy. The Gaynors' charity raised millions to help develop the drug Zolgensma, even as Sophia grew too old to receive the costly treatment.

We told their story in February.

On June 13, Sophia died at home with her parents at her side. She was 16.
What a $2 Million Per Dose Gene Therapy Reveals About Drug Pricing
Taxpayers and charities helped develop Zolgensma. Then it debuted at a record price, ushering in a new class of wildly expensive drugs. Its story upends the widely held conception that high prices…
