Original was drawn in 2020. The redraw was done tonight. I’m not settled on the colors yet, but the lineart is nice.
Honestly, I’m glad I redrew this. I was so happy with the original for years, but lately, I felt bad for not liking it anymore.

Olive loaf for bread machine. I wanted a thick crunchy crust for dipping in olive oil, and this worked out perfectly. It’s a little too much liquid, so the center isn’t finished when it first comes out of the machine. That’s why it needs extra baking time, but it also creates a delightful crust.

Painted this last night. It’s tombow markers w acrylic. I copied someone else’s art, but they painted a ref photo, so I’m not worried about it. It’s also different enough that it’s more like I followed the same ref photo. Copying others is part of learning. Don’t be afraid to. Just don’t sell it.

Finished with the granny square sweater. Yay! I love the way it turned out. And the ribbed knit hem is perfect. If I take the time to style it, I’ll post a better picture. Otherwise this is what you get. Lol 🧶

Almost done. I didn’t have circular knitting needles, so I’m using Tunisian crochet needles to knit a ribbed hem on my sweater. The sizes are close enough that it’s working pretty well. 🧶

Making cherry almond loaf. My mom has taken to making french toast with the bread I make, so I made a special one this week. It’s gorgeous and massive and fully of cherries.

Working on my sweater. I’m thinking of making it a pull over instead of a cardigan, bc 5 blocks wide is too wide. I was going to adjust the size in the armpit instead of adding another row of blocks to the back because the arms need only extra 2-3” and the body needs 4-6”. Works out perfectly. 🧶

2 sleeves done. Now to figure out the back and the 2 front panels. Hopefully, I don’t have to make more squares. I thought I needed 56, so I made 56, but when laying them out, realized I made either too many or not enough. 🤞 it’s the former. 🧶

One sleeve finished. I didn’t buy enough charcoal grey, so I decided to stitch the squares together with the lighter grey. I like it well enough. 🧶

I’m using GuangNa Morandi and Macron, Flysea skin set, Uni Posca, and Sakura PenTouch. I have so many markers, but I want more colors. I want all the colors.

I’m leaning towards the colors of the first one, but I’m honestly struggling trying to figure out which colors I want to paint this beetle.
I brought my paint colors into procreate to make a decision and it made it harder. I thought it would make it easier. Nope. Besides the watercolor wash failed.
