Part of what keeps America so violent is the insistence that people perform care, empty goodness and absolution for white men who espouse hatred and violence.

It is so startling (and baffling??) for me to see a word that I thought died on my elementary school playground in the ‘90s resurface like this. This is literally one of the first words that you quickly learn is a huge nope. I’m mortified that an adult would post this let alone think it.
